The UK arm of the organisation required an information management solution that could help them manage their core business services information more efficiently, more securely and across multiple devices. “We were looking to replace our file stores with an information management solution that would enable our employees to quickly access, share and manage information, regardless of whether they are in the office, travelling or with a client,” said Chief Technology Officer David Bennett. "We explored multiple options but M-Files was the only solution which offered all the functionality we required out-of-the-box, meaning no complicated or time-consuming customisation was needed.” Mazars also plans to use the M-Files mobile app to enable its staff to work more productively. www.m-files.com Antalis Packaging bolsters northern presence Antalis Packaging has launched a new packaging branch to serve growing demand within the Yorkshire region – a move which is already proving a hit with local businesses. The company says the investment is a testament to its leadership in transforming data centre and cloud operations with web- scale simplicity for secondary data. Cohesity is using the investment to power large-scale global expansion by attacking a problem that enterprises currently spend an estimated $60 billion each year to address using separate point solutions. www.cohesity.com Four million businesses vulnerable to data loss Almost a million UK businesses do not back-up their company data and a further 2.8 million firms risk losing valuable information by storing electronic copies in the same location as the original data, according to new research from Beaming, the business ISP. Beaming’s survey shows that while most (83%) of UK firms back-up their data, half save it to servers or storage devices in the same premises. 44% of small businesses, 42% of medium sized firms and 34% of large organisations currently store back-up information in the same location as it is generated, leaving them vulnerable to data loss through theft, fire or malware attack. www.beaming.co.uk
