Print IT Reseller - issue 139

01732 759725 34 This was our third visit to the legendary Italian resort and party town of Sauze d’Oulx, and we were delighted to host 31 industry professionals from across the vendor, reseller and distribution community. We all had early morning flights to Turin on Monday March 2, some of us met up at Gatwick, while others flew from Manchester and East Midlands airports, and spirits were high when we all got together in-resort. The early start was well worth it as we were able to enjoy the afternoon skiing in the stunning surroundings of the Via Lattea ski area. It is often described as a dream come true for snow lovers and the conditions were absolutely perfect. Fantastic skiing and après ski Sauze d’Oulx is a fabulous resort. It’s really lively, has lots of great restaurants and the skiing is fantastic. It caters for everyone from absolute beginners right through to advanced skiers. We enjoyed two-and-a half days skiing and even manged to get to the Sestriere ski resort which was a great experience. Across the four days, there was a lot of socialising, lots of laughs and some serious skiing. On the first evening, Neil Trim organised a (what is now officially legendary) quiz night, everyone was encouraged to wear a band t-shirt and as always, the quiz was highly contested. It never ceases to amaze me what a competitive lot we all are! We all met for lunch on the mountain each day and the après ski was second to none. We visited the local bars, enjoyed live music, had a fabulous dinner in a local Italian Trattoria and spent the final evening in a sports bar. One-of-its kind event This event is a one-of-its kind in our industry, it offers a unique opportunity to meet and spend time with like-minded people in a relaxed informal setting. The conversations extended far beyond polite chit chat, there were plenty of lively discussions around business, opportunities to exchange ideas, and identify different and potentially new ways to work together. For me, the biggest pull of this event is that it brings together people working in very different disciplines who might otherwise not have the opportunity to meet. Companies in attendance this year included WBM, Westcoast, Giacom, IP Netix, Tailor Made and F1 Technologies. Looking ahead to 2027 I am delighted to confirm that the networking event will return for 2027. Prices are still TBC but the trip will include flights, transfers to and from Turin Airport, three nights B&B accommodation, a two-day ski pass, all ski hire - boots/skis/helmet, ski and boot storage at ski lift, two evening meals and an après ski refreshments budget! Everybody wants to come back; people were confirming their places for next year whilst we were still there! Places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis so please get in touch via email [email protected] to register your interest. On a final note, I would also like to extend our thanks to the event sponsors – Knight Corporate Finance and Voiceflex.
