01732 759725 50 some great things. I enjoy talking to people, hearing their stories and helping them. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? People matter the most. That’s the best bit of advice I’ve been given, I truly believe it and stand with it, and I apply it every day when I do my job. Which company do you most admire outside of our industry? I had to think hard about this one, because I’ve never thought, oh, I admire that company. But over the last five to six months, I’ve been using a company called Gousto. I am newly married and it is extremely hard to think of new meals to make for my husband and I. Since RISING STARQ&A 60 seconds with… Rebecca Earath, Account Manager & UK Director, CO3 Technologies PRINT IT RESELLER MAGAZINE RISING STARS IN PRINT & ONLINE SINCE 2016 Rebecca Earath When did you first join the print sector and what attracted you? I joined in July 2023. I didn’t plan to join the print industry; I was going to be an accountant but the opportunity to join my dad (CEO Marius Engelbrecht) at CO3 came up and I decided to do it. I have worked across the business in different teams and fell in love with the company, so, that’s why I’m still here. What do you most enjoy about your job? Talking to people. When I was in the support team, I loved helping people. I got lots of pleasure from fixing their problems. Visiting people in person and being able to talk about what we do and actually get a feel of how much our company has affected these people’s businesses, it’s like, wow, our software can actually do using Gousto we can choose from 300 dishes every week and I absolutely love it. It just makes my life so easy. What excites you most about the future? It’s got to be CO3 here in the UK. I truly feel like we can make such a big difference here, and we’ve got a really good opportunity at the moment. I’m just starting my career and I intend to be here for a really long time. I’m excited about playing a key part in making CO3 as successful in the UK as we have been in South Africa. Early bird or night owl? Both. because some nights I can stay up all night and then there are times when I say I want to be up early today. Favourite app, and why? Duolingo. I’ve been using it to learn Russian for over two years now. My mother in law’s first language is Russian and her English isn’t great; I wouldn't say the app helps you learn very quickly but spending a few minutes each day is helping me learn the vocabulary. I’m not fluent but I understand a bit, and I can say important things. One screen, two or more? Two, I have my laptop screen for email and then I do most of my work on a bigger screen. Favourite quote/motto? Alone, we can do so little. But together, we can do so much. (Helen Keller) Last film you watched? The Wolf of Wall Street. How do you like to spend your spare time? Well, I love cooking Gousto boxes! And then we've got Lee Valley a two minute walk from my house. It's this beautiful, beautiful park, with miles of pathways you can walk. I also enjoy doing my own nails.
