Print IT Reseller - issue 135

01732 759725 40 Arwel Griffiths, Managing Director, Ar Graff Cymru: At Ar Graff Cymru, we’re excited about what 2026 will bring, not just for the print industry, but for how local businesses across Wales accept and adopt technology and sustainability. We’ve built our reputation on personal service. Our customers know they can call us, speak to a real person, and get things sorted quickly. This personal touch will always be our strength, but we’re also investing heavily in new opportunities from managed print and IT to office supplies and business furniture. We see a big opportunity in helping customers bring all these elements together. The technology is there; it’s just about making it accessible to everyone. We want to help businesses, schools and the public sector use smarter systems that save time, reduce waste and make everyday operations easier. We are noticing that more and more businesses are returning to the office. Demand for A4 MFPs is strong. I believe that the traditional ‘one large, networked device per office’ is slowly making way for multiple smaller devices. In part, to help with social distancing and in part due to differing requirements such as scanning, creating digital media and the use of workflow software on modern devices. Sustainability is close to our hearts. Wales has always led the way on recycling, and we’re proud to do our bit by offering energy‑efficient devices, consumables recycling and local support that reduces time and the effects of travelling. We are involved in a few locally run recycling schemes that re‑use boxes and pallets. We are always looking at local initiatives that reduce wastage and contribute to local growth. We’re also finding that customers like working with a supplier who can cover everything from printers, IT, furniture, stationery, supplies all under one roof. It’s convenient, cost-effective and it supports local jobs. So, for us, 2026 is about growth, connection and opportunity, helping our community thrive through genuine partnerships and great service. Print is dead! Long live print! www.argraffcymru.com As yet another year draws to a close, key industry players share their thoughts on what 2026 will hold for the print and IT sectors Print predictions – part one VOX POP continued... Chris Bates, Director – Print & Supplies, UK & Ireland, TD SYNNEX: We expect 2026 to be a continuum and evolution of what we’ve seen over the past year, with the shift towards more sustainable solutions, a greater emphasis on lifecycle and the circular economy, increased adoption of cloud and AI, and the rising focus on security, all continuing. We have seen tank printers gaining momentum, and this is still our fastest-growing category. As vendors release larger and more capable commercial tank printers, we can only see this trend continuing. For us and for our partners, this provides excellent business potential, and for end-user customers, tank printers are a really great and cost-effective solution. We’re also bringing new vendors on board to create additional opportunities. Our recent signing, with Vasion Print, eliminates the need for print servers and delivers centralised management through integration with major cloud services. This service offers multiple features and benefits, such as secure print management, document release, analytics and single click print installation, that are ideal for digitally-led organisations. As well as further adoption of devices that are more ink- and energy-efficient, we expect to see greater interest in our TD SYNNEX Renew lifecycle services. While there has been less emphasis on sustainability in the past 12 months, it remains on most customers’ agendas. We will almost certainly see manufacturers developing devices that use recycled plastic and other components and using more sustainable inks. The shift towards more sustainable options and managed print services will give resellers new ways to talk about print to their customers, and that’s going to be important. Now that hybrid working has been fully embraced, customers need guidance and support in working out which devices are best suited to their needs, and how they can manage print in the most efficient way. Resellers can add a lot of value by helping customers to explore the different options for onsite and hybrid working, by helping them to choose between conventional devices or ink tanks and to weigh-up the benefits of using a managed print service. https://uk.tdsynnex.com/ Chris Bates Arwel Griffiths
