Working in an open-plan office, I also keep in-ear earphones handy, usually playing white noise or instrumental tunes to stay focused. The second monitor is a lifesaver for comparing data side-byside, like tracking sent and received info. But aligning it with my laptop pushes the built-in keyboard too far out, so the external keyboard keeps things comfortable and efficient.
