PRINTITRESELLER.UK 29 WHAT’S NEW Sustainable, secure, and compact Sharp has announced the launch of its latest environmentally conscious smart office products. The BP-C131WD and the BP-C131PW A4 colour printers are built with up to 50% recycled plastic, further supporting Sharp’s commitment to sustainability. The products’ packaging is made of fully recyclable corrugated cardboard, eliminating the need for polystyrene. Both models feature a compact design that uses fewer parts. Additionally, advanced fusing technology ensures the devices offer the best power consumption in their class, helping businesses reduce their overall environmental footprint. With a compact footprint of just 410mm x 410mm, the new printers are among the smallest devices in their class and come equipped with a robust set of security features, ensuring business-critical documents and data are always protected. The comprehensive range of security features includes data encryption and erasure, TLS 1.3 support, user authentication, and remote firmware updates. Featuring a 4-inch colour touchscreen, the BP-C131WD and BP-C131PW offer easy, user-friendly operation, consistent with Sharp’s other devices, ensuring a seamless experience across the product range. Ben Lake, Senior Product Manager for MFP and Printer Products, Sharp Europe, said: “Our new A4 devices are compact, secure and environmentally responsible, meeting the needs of modern workplaces. By incorporating recycled materials, reducing energy consumption and delivering powerful functionality in a small footprint, we’re enabling organisations to meet their environmental goals without compromising on workplace productivity.” www.sharp.co.uk Essential security capabilities Zyxel Networks has unveiled its upgraded USG FLEX H series firewalls, providing small and medium-sized businesses and managed service providers with an easier and more consistent way to manage security, along with essential, built-in protection and 3x unified threat management (UTM) performance. Unlike most hybrid firewalls, the USG FLEX H series uses the new Smart Sync feature to unify cloud and on-premise security. It automatically synchronises security policies, network objects and high availability settings between Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud platform and the local web management interface, ensuring consistency, eliminating manual duplication, and streamlining management for a scalable, future-proof network. The USG FLEX H series firewalls now come equipped with Zyxel Networks’ new Entry Defence Pack (EDP) license, providing businesses with essential security features straight from set up. The EDP includes features such as Reputation Filter, SecuReporter analytics and Priority Support, ensuring SMBs have comprehensive, up-to-date defence against the latest security threats from day one. www.zyxel.com ALSO expands cybersecurity platform ALSO is offering new cybersecurity products from its partner CYE in all 32 countries in which the company is represented.
