Furthermore, the machines are noise-free in ready mode, making them unobtrusive wherever they are located. Both machines deliver mobile connectivity - Android (Mopria) and iOS (AirPrint) as well as NFC tap-to-print/scan are supported. In addition, the dedicated mobile print app can be used to print, copy, scan and fax from a smartphone or tablet, and, with the bizhub C3120i documents and photos can be sent to print directly from a computer via Wi-Fi (as standard), or via the dedicated USB port on each machine, which provides a preview of the file prior to printing. A generous tray can store up to 250 sheets, reducing the need to reload during longer print runs. The machines can handle 60gsm all the way up to 176gsm cardstock, and thanks to doublesided printing and three levels of toner density (light, lighter, lightest), paper and toner consumption can be reduced. www.konicaminolta.co.uk Focus On: What’s New Desktop scanners Kodak Alaris has enhanced its portfolio of document scanners with the launch of two powerful, compact models. Designed to complement existing support for Microsoft Azure AD and Google Workspace, which simplifies the user provisioning and account set-up process, this latest development also paves the way for future integrations with leading cloud-based authentication providers such as Okta and Ping Identity. With the launch of the new internal directory, directprint.io is empowering customers not currently on Azure AD or Google Workspace, to seamlessly and securely leverage the full capabilities of the cloud, automate time-intensive tasks, and cut costs by consuming print management as-a-service. The feature-rich internal directory enables IT admins to simplify printer provisioning and ongoing management and adopt a Group Policy to manage printers from a single console for improved security and control. IT staff can assign specific users to specific printers, easily deploy and remove new printers to end-users, apply print privileges, set print limits or enforce rules on OUs, groups or devices. The directory capabilities ensure simple printer deployment - by downloading the directprint.io application and clicking an invite link, end-users are signed in and automatically gain access to allocated/ available printers, which significantly reduces the IT workload. https://directprint.io Premium displays Sony Electronics has launched two scalable new series of its Crystal LED premium displays. The bright and rich BH-series (ZRD-BH12D and ZRD-BH15D) and the immersive CH-series (ZRDCH12D and ZRD-CH15D) are designed for corporations, retail environments and screening rooms. The BH-series offers a high brightness and a wide colour gamut while the CHseries provides unmatched black levels, together giving customers versatile new options tailored to their needs and application, as well as budgets. As a modular solution, customers can choose the size and resolution of the display. The BH- and CH-series feature super fine LEDs and a unique coating, to achieve a wide viewing angle without unnatural colour shift. The new models come pre-assembled and calibrated to ensure a seamless appearance. A future firmware update will enable additional uniformity through auto colour adjustment. With a focus on installation flexibility, the new series’ cabinets are about 10% lighter and 10% thinner than the current model, making them even easier to integrate. They also use a dedicated display controller, ZRCT-300. www.sony.net
