WHAT'S NEW 01732 759725 26 Upgraded desktop label printers Brother UK has upgraded its P-touch desktop label printers, adding greater connectivity and flexibility across the range. The upgrades focus on greater connectivity, with the latest Bluetooth capabilities, while delivering expanded options for users creating labels through Brother’s free iPrint&Label mobile app. Compatibility with iPrint&Label also unlocks higher levels of productivity and flexibility, enabling users to print ready-made templates anywhere using a smartphone. The new PT-D460BT model specifically also comes equipped with PC connectivity, a notable upgrade from its previous model. All devices feature QWERTY keyboards and LED screens, making them easy to use as standalone devices too. The new models are compatible with Brother’s hardwearing TZe tapes up to 18mm, allowing users to create long lasting labels, an advantage for all labelling applications but especially those in rugged environments such as warehouses or gyms. The range-topping PT-D610BT can print wider labels up to 24mm, which means more information, such as QR codes can be included, and larger text can be used. www.brother.co.uk Focus On: What’s New Onsite warranty option TD SYNNEX has added an onsite warranty option with full monitoring of devices to its OpenMPS managed print service. When combined with the existing installation and configuration services, partners have a complete end to end service proposition they can take to their customers. In addition, as well as a full view of the status of all their customers’ devices, an updated dashboard for OpenMPS now provides partners with advanced information on when printers or multifunction devices are nearing end of life and need to be upgraded or replaced. This gives partners an additional way to add value and engage customers. www.TDSYNNEX.com Effortless connectivity Sharp’s new BP-70M and BP-50M series of A3 mono MFPs expand its ecosystem of smart office tools. Together with the A3 colour MFPs launched earlier this year, the monochrome models complete Sharp’s Future Workplace MFP Series to help customers build more flexible and more secure workplaces fit for the future. The new models have been designed to meet the needs of hybrid workforces, allowing employees to easily collaborate and share information securely throughout their office environment, even while working remotely. The eleven new devices equipped with speeds of 26 ppm to 65 ppm, are capable of supporting even the most demanding of tasks for medium and large workgroups. Integrated with the latest technology, the new models allow users to work more efficiently and productively. The BP-70M series offers time saving features such as multi-sheet feed detection and enhanced auto skew correction while the 300-sheet duplexing, single-pass feature scans documents at up to 280 images per minute for enhanced productivity and efficiency. Enhanced cloud services such as Microsoft Teams and Google Drive makes communication simple and streamlined, while native Microsoft Universal Print capability allows these MFPs to integrate seamlessly with Microsoft 365 environments that enable simplified print management. Leading security technology is also built in – features such as a system integrity check at start up, firmware attack prevention with self-recovery, as well as an optional antivirus protection powered by Bitdefender help protect from malicious intruders. www.sharp.co.uk Cloud services platform Konica Minolta’s Workplace Pure platform provides cost-effective 24/7 access to a platform of constantly evolving services including centralised upload to cloud repositories, cloud print, secure guest print, smart document conversion and translation – all automated and streamlined from a single trusted source.
