Brother refreshes A3 inkjet line-up for small businesses Brother UK is helping small businesses upgrade to secure, high-volume A3 printing in a compact footprint with its updated J6000 inkjet range. The new MFC-J6760DW and MFCJ6960DW will replace existing devices and are designed for small businesses with up to five users. The refreshed lineup is aimed at customers with frequent A3 printing needs who want speed, quality and security, and forms part of Brother’s strategy to meet growing customer demand for reliable, easy-to-use inkjet printers. Devices will be sold in fully recyclable, non-polystyrene brown cardboard packaging, helping firms to comply with workplace recycling legislation and contribute to their sustainability goals. Each device has an improved print speed (31ipm) and larger memory (512mb) compared to previous models and comes with 700-pages black and 450-pages colour ink in-box. This makes everyday printing faster, easier and more cost-effective, particularly for businesses running on tight margins and managing busy workloads. Both printers are equipped with Brother’s MAXIDRIVE technology which supports ultra-fast, durable and enhanced quality colour printing. For customers requiring a bit more from their set-up, the MFC-J6960DW has a larger 8.8cm touchscreen, dual 250-sheet paper trays to handle higher volumes or multiple paper sizes without switching, a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray and doublesided scanning – ideal for teams handling regular admin, marketing materials or client paperwork. Both models are designed to deliver the full functionality businesses rely on, including scan, copy and fax features, but without the footprint. Dual-band wireless (5GHz) and USB connectivity make setup and sharing simple, while the 50-page automatic document feeder, 100-sheet A4 and 50-sheet A3 output trays help teams handle multi-page jobs without disruption. Optional high-yield cartridges offer up to 6,000 pages in black and 5,000 in colour. Greig Millar, Chief Revenue Officer at Brother UK, said: “The refreshed J6000 line-up has been designed around the real needs of small businesses who want professional-quality A3 printing in a device that fits into a small or home office environment, without hidden costs or complexity, and with the control to print on their terms. “These upgraded models deliver faster print speeds and increased memory – all in a compact casing. But more than that, they reflect what our customers value most: reliable, low-maintenance devices that are simple to set up and manage. From seamless connectivity through to improved sustainability outcomes, we’re helping resellers meet the demand for print that just works, with no hidden catches.” To learn more, visit: www.brother.co.uk Fujifilm rolls out server-less on-demand print and server‑less authentication to support its Apeos MFP range Robust, user-friendly device security for SMEs is now available across seven European countries Fujifilm Europe GmbH announces the availability of two server-less device applications for its Apeos multifunction printer (MFP) range: Server-less On-Demand Print and Server-less Authentication. Many SMEs today face growing challenges in securing sensitive information without incurring the complexity and high costs associated with security solutions. To address this, both applications provide a reliable, low‑overhead security option. Server-less On-Demand Print Fujifilm’s Server-less On-Demand Print is an application that can be installed directly on a multifunction device. It lets users release their stored documents on any linked device, without a dedicated on-premises or cloud print server. If the device that first received the job is occupied, the user can simply release it to another available MFP on the network. And because jobs are held for confirmation before printing, unnecessary printing can be greatly reduced. Server-less Authentication Fujifilm’s Server-less Authentication application, when installed on multifunction devices, allows the sharing of user information for authentication with multiple devices, so users can register a smart card or authenticate on any linked device within the server-less environment. User authentication information is shared from the designated “parent device” to all linked devices in the network. This sharing uses a smart card registration function that associates the credentials stored on the device with the card’s ID. Once the information is shared, it can be used by any linked device through authentication operations, with no need to set up a dedicated server to link devices, thereby reducing costs and complexity. Matthew Wrighton, Head of Device Technology division of Fujifilm Europe, comments: “In support of our awardwinning range of Apeos MFP devices, we’re delighted to offer Fujifilm’s Server‑less On-Demand Print and Server-less Authentication to European customers. For SMEs who need flexible, low-cost, but reliable device security, it offers the ideal solution.” Learn more about the Apeos series at office.fujifilmprint.eu
