A product of Applause Labs, the company’s ‘innovation engine’, the free download automatically finds and fixes common accessibility issues, such as non- descriptive error alerts, unclear site and page structures and lack of support for navigation by keyboard. Applause says sites will still need to be fully evaluated by accessibility experts but points out that flagging violations of accessibility standards while developers code saves time later in the development process. https://www.applause.com Extra protection Bedford-based housing association bpha is taking its use of lone worker protection systems to the next level by trialling body-worn cameras. Four of its officers will trial SoloProtect ID Pro badges integrated with a camera that starts recording as soon as a user activates a ‘Red Alert’ on their device.
