Reuters print costs slashed

Reuters is looking forward to cutting print costs by 19% or £1.2 million a year, after entering into a five-year managed print service with Xerox. As part of the contract Xerox is evaluating more than 1,400 printers, copiers and fax machines from 200 suppliers that Reuters has accumulated in offices throughout the UK. These devices will gradually be replaced by a more efficient print infrastructure. To ensure a smooth transition Xerox has taken over the management of all third party equipment and suppliers. As part of the contract, Xerox is consolidating 12 of Reuters’ London offices into four main centres, including its new head office at Canary Wharf, and has established a print room to take care of large, specialised print jobs.
