Samsung is set to make a big splash in the B2B market with the launch of powerful new products, services and solutions.

What do semiconductors, flat panel TVs and mobile phones have in common? Answer: they are all industries in which Samsung is a market leader.

It is now the turn of printers. At CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, Dr JW Park, singled out printers as the ‘fourth wave’ of growth for Samsung. Already Number 2 in the A4 laser printer market, our sights are now set firmly on the Number 1 spot.

Samsung’s major focus for 2008 is the B2B market. New hardware, software and services will give resellers an unbeatable proposition to take to key vertical markets, such as education, healthcare and financial services.

These include the world’s fastest A4 digital MFP, the 53 pages per minute MultiXpress 6555N; Samsung’s fastest colour MFP, the 38ppm C8380ND; and 16 new applications based on the JScribe Open architecture that can be used with these devices to provide complete business solutions for the most demanding users.

Most excitingly of all, we will be launching SamPage Open, Samsung’s second generation managed print services (MPS) offering. This outstanding package enables resellers to provide customers with a fully managed service, including hardware leasing, cost per page contracts, 4-hour response times and automatic toner ordering.

Because all finance and service elements are provided by Samsung itself, even the smallest reseller can now compete with large copier dealerships that have their own service engineers and finance arms.

Throw in the cost-saving benefits of implementing A4 rather than A3 devices, and we are confident that our resellers now have everything they need to increase B2B sales and develop longer lasting, more profitable relationships with business customers.

Copier companies watch out!

One of very few printer manufacturers still to attend CeBIT, Samsung used the giant German IT show to restate its plans for the printer division and outline how it aims to meet its ambitious targets.
