Zen for SME’s

Zen Software is urging SMEs to replace their proprietary hardware PBXs with a new software-based VoIP phone system that has been developed specifically for Microsoft Windows. Based on open standards, the 3CX IP PBX server is designed for organisations that want a flexible, full-featured phone system and cheaper calls without spending a fortune on hardware or getting tied into proprietary solutions.

Zen Software says that a 3CX server costs a fraction of the price of hardware PBX systems and seamlessly integrates existing PSTN lines using VOIP gateways, VOIP providers and SIP compliant handsets or softphones. Key benefits include reduced call charges by using VOIP providers (SipGate, Blueface etc.); a web-based, easy to use administrative interface; Auto Attendant, Ring Groups, Call Queuing, and Voice Mail for flexible call routing; the ability to move phones from one desk to another without rewiring or reconfiguring; and remote working.

3CX is available in four versions: a free edition, and Small Business, Pro and Enterprise versions. The latter offers unlimited extensions and lines and Exchange 2007 integration. The free trial version of 3CX is available for download from www.zensoftware.co.uk/3cx/
