Virtualised desktop reduces TCO by 70%
Pano Logic describes the Pano device as the first true virtualised desktop. Designed specifically for server-based desktop virtualisation, the Pano device has no CPU, memory, operating system, software or drivers.

It is purely a hardware device for connecting keyboard, mouse, display, audio and USB peripherals to an instance of Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows XP running on a virtualised server.
Pano claims that because there is no software and no need for software upgrades or for visits by IT personnel, the Pano reduces desktop TCO by 70%. It also eliminates the desktop as a security risk as it is immune to viruses and other malware. A further benefit is its low power consumption of just 5 watts - 3% of a typical PC’s use.
One of the device’s most interesting features is the Pano Button, which can be configured to perform actions provided by the server platform, such as rolling back from a corrupted Windows instance to a known good one or switching between virtual machines set up with software for different job functions.
The complete Pano solution consists of Pano desktop devices and Pano server software running on top of virtualized servers.
