Kyocera Reliability

Demonstrating the reliability for which Kyocera printers are renowned, the KM-8030 MFP recently printed 1,000,000 impressions in just 50 working days without the need for a single service call, other than a scheduled preventative maintenance call at 500,000 impressions.

The Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) Extended Term Reliability Test replicated real-world use over an eight-hour working day and included a mix of single-sided and double-sided print jobs of varying sizes. BLI managing editor Daria Hoffman said: “Few MFP manufacturers have subjected their products to this degree of independent lab testing, which really says something about Kyocera’s confidence in its products. Whereas BLI’s normal reliability test is conducted using an output volume equivalent to the unit’s maximum monthly duty cycle, this unit was subjected to a test that was twice as long and yet gave a reliability performance that was virtually flawless - a truly impressive feat.”
